We care a lot about how our food tastes, so we scour the market to find the most delicious fruit and vegetable varieties to grow. Whenever we can, we grow from organic, heirloom seeds and root stock. We never use genetically modified organisms.
We are dedicated to growing fruits and vegetables in ways that don't damage the environment in which they grow or the people who consume them. Our fertilizers are always organic. We also avoid using poisons and toxins to control insects, weeds, and disease.
Farm founder Leah learned to garden from her father and originally used his old-timey methods. Over the years, we have adapted from more current and popular methods, like permaculture and hugelkultur. On any given year, you will find a variety of growing methods employed on the farm as we experiment, evaluate, and learn.
We believe that food grown locally, seasonally, and sustainably doesn't just taste better and isn't just more health inducing but is more humane and socially just, too. We hope you will appreciate the vision we have for our farm and that you will join us in making it a reality by purchasing your produce here.

We love our community! We are dedicated to being good stewards of the land and spreading awareness of good land stewardship and regenerative practices. Our goal is to work with nature to provide the best quality products to our customers. We don't want our food to come from pastures treated with chemical fertilizer, or from animals that have been given antibiotics or growth hormones. We know you feel the same way.
When we use the term 'Grass Fed' it means the animals are never fed grain or concentrates. Our animals are on pasture year-round. Mineral Supplement, clean water, and high-quality stored forages (hay) and Organic Alfalfa Pellets is substituted for feeding during the winter months if needed.
Holistically planned grazing mimics the movement of the animals that historically lived on the prairie and is in concert with how the prairie evolved. This provides our animals with the best life possible and helps preserve the remaining tall-grass prairie.
