Strong Roots Healthy Farming is a small, urban farm located in Valley Center Kansas that grows vegetables, fruits, and herbs. We believe in growing food as naturally as possible, so we do not use chemicals or artificial fertilizers. Instead we focus on making the plants as healthy as possible by mixing things like compost, fish emulsion, and worm castings into the soil. We rotate our crops to create a balance of nutrients in the soil each season. These are the things that are helping us regain the nourishment in our food, so that our families and our communities can build foundations that are physically and mentally sound.

At Victory Gardens we are soundly invested in promoting local food production and encouraging the public to take responsibility for knowing where and how their food is grown. As part of our “green” philosophy, we utilize chemical-free sustainable methods with as low a carbon footprint as possible. We also believe in empowering neophyte gardeners by offering gardening boxes and cedar trellises. Our boxes and trellises are exceptionally well built products which, we believe, are the best constructed products on the market. We believe it is possible and practical for most individuals to “grow their own” produce, with the end result being better health and nutrition, a decreased carbon footprint, while educating and empowering your family.
